General Information:
Awana is an international children and youth ministry. Our club at Harvest Bible Chapel Lake Zurich is one of more than 15,000 clubs in the United States and 115 foreign countries.
• The goal of Awana is "to reach boys and girls with the Gospel of Christ and to train them to serve Him".
• Trained adults & Teen leaders supervise all activities.
• For your reference, our Awana Club charter number is US002467.
Meetings:
Our clubs will meet from September 19th through April 16th this year. The weekly meetings are scheduled for Mondays 6:20-8:15 p.m.

The Awana program is divided into three segmants: Game time, Handbook time, and Message time.
Game Time offers clubbers the opportunity to participate as team members in physical activities which can help develop team spirit, good sportmanship, coordination skills, and self-confidence.
Handbook Time consists of interaction between clubbers and their leader. Clubbers recite Bible memory work as well as complete activity sections. (We encourage parents to assist their children with their memory work weekly.)
Message Time includes singing, announcements of upcoming events, contests, and instruction from the Bible.

Registration Fee:  $40.00  This covers 1 book, all awards, and all special club nights.  Discounts are applied to families with multiple children.  (This year UNIFORMS are purchased for additional fees) Any lost items must be paid for when replaced.

Uniforms
: Upon completion of the Entrance Booklet, a clubber can purchase the Awana uniform. Once received, please have your children wear their uniforms to club each night. Some of their awards and rewards are based on if they wear their uniform or not.

Volunteers: We are still in need of volunteers. Please see the AWANA secretary, Nancy, for the list of needs.

Child Safety : For the safety of your children, we have the following policies and procedures:

· All leaders and helpers fill out a child worker application which is used to conduct criminal background checks. It also lets us know where the leaders are spiritually.

· From 6:35 - 8:10pm (8:00 for Cubbies rooms), parents/adults are not allowed past the gym doors without being approved and escorted by an approved leader/helper.
