Weather Policy
Bible Studies
1. The decision to cancel any study will be made by the Director of Women’s Ministry. If the Director of Women’s Ministry is unavailable to make the decision, the Administrative Pastor will decide.
2. Decision criteria:
a). Evening studies will be canceled if AWANA (held during the same time) is canceled due to weather. If AWANA is cancelled for non-weather related reason, the study will be canceled based on weather conditions or weather advisory status.
b). Morning studies will be canceled if the Lake Zurich school district is closed due to weather.
3. Decision of study cancellation
a). Evening studies – made at least four hours prior to study start time.
b). Morning studies – made at least two hours prior to study start time or the evening before.
4. The Director of Women’s Ministry and Executive Administrator will notify all small group leaders by phone should a Bible study be canceled. Small group leaders will notify participants in their respective groups immediately. Study cancelation notification will be posted on the Women Ministry website.
Evening events (Coffee Chat, Circle of Friends and Women’s Social)
1. Decision to cancel an event will be made by the Director of Women’s Ministry. If the Director of Women’s Ministry is unavailable to make the decision, the event coordinator will decide.
2. Decision should be based on weather condition or weather advisory status.
3. Decision of event cancellation should be made at least 4 hours prior to start time of event.
4. The Director of Women’s Ministry and event coordinator will notify all participants by phone should an event be canceled. Event cancelation notification will be posted on the Women Ministry website.
